Another view from the Green Hill section of Magnolia Cemetery looking east.

Got one child to sit still for a few minutes - guess which one wouldn't sit still. Faces are one of my bigger problem areas - they are so easy to miss the mark with - I'm getting closer though.
Got C. to sit still enough for a short time (while I quizzed her for a test).

Carol and the kids worked on Valentine's Day crafts for school. They made little Ipods out of boxes of Conversation Hearts with two Rolos and string as the headphones. Lucky for the kids Carol is the crafty one with the good ideas - I would have just gotten the cheapo box of cards and called it a day...
Beautiful weather; the high was around 70 degrees and lots of sun. This view is of a home on Charleston Harbor in Mount Pleasant - downtown Charleston in the background. I ran out of time to complete the dock that connects to the property but I've drawn it recently here.
A view of tanks at the Kinder Morgan Terminal as seen from Magnolia Cemetery just over the bridge into the Green Hill section.
This one is from the Green Hill section of Magnolia Cemetery. I did this one the same day as yesterdays post. It was getting near 5:00 and the shadows were starting to get long. I soon came to the realization that trees with leaves are a heck of a lot easier to paint than trees without leaves.
A view of a palm tree trunk from the Green Hill section of Magnolia Cemetery. This area has newer plots and is reached by crossing over a small built up dirt bridge across a marshy area. I was able to hang out undisturbed for a couple of hours and never saw a soul.
This view is from Concord Street looking toward the park across from the Maritime Center. The large building in the background is Gaillard Auditorium on Calhoun Street.
We have had a string of gray days and cold weather lately. This is a view across the marsh looking toward Sullivan's Island from Pitt Street in Mount Pleasant.
A cold, overcast day on the Isle of Palms with a view across Hamlin Creek looking back toward Mount Pleasant. The tip of Little Goat Island is in the foreground on the right.
